GATSBY GUEST HOUSE - ZEN 60, Rome

The guest house sits in a peaceful, tree-lined street in Prati, a local neighbourhood that feels safe even at night. The Vatican Museums are a 16-minute walk away, and St. Peter's Basilica is 2 km on foot. Lepanto Metro Station (13 minutes on foot) and Ottaviano Metro Station (800 metres) provide direct rail connections across Rome. Ciampino Airport is 18 km away; no airport shuttle is available. Buses stop nearby, and a small supermarket and a cafe are located directly across the road and under the building. The area is served by several restaurants, including Trattoria Da Dante, Hostaria da Tesone, and Osteria della Ricciotta, all within a 10-minute walk. The location is especially convenient for events at the Foro Italico, which is a few minutes away on foot.

Double and twin/double rooms all include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a tea and coffee maker, and a private bathroom with a bidet, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Some rooms feature a walk-in shower, a balcony, or a terrace offering city views. The bed is generally comfortable, though taller guests (over 1.80 m) may find the bed length short. Room sizes vary, and some units include a high chair for children. A shared, fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, coffee machine, cookware, and a dishwasher is available for meal preparation, as is a common living room with seating, games, and a working fireplace. The building has a vintage lift that adds character but operates reliably.

There is no breakfast service or restaurant on the property. The shared kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, a microwave, a coffee machine (with complimentary capsules), spices, and a dishwasher, making it easy to prepare meals. A supermarket across the street supplies fresh groceries. For those who want to eat out, several restaurants, bars, and cafes are within a 5-10 minute walk, including Bar King di Luigi, Quintessenza, and Trattoria Da Dante.

The accommodation does not feature a spa, gym, or swimming pool. Leisure activities revolve around the shared kitchen, living room with board games, and the outdoor seating area or balcony for quiet relaxation. The Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basilica, and an ice-skating rink are all within a short walk or metro ride, providing ample sightseeing opportunities. The surrounding Prati district offers tree-lined walks and a relaxed local atmosphere.

Free WiFi is available in all areas. The self check-in process uses clear instructions and a PIN code for independent arrival. The host is generally responsive via messaging, though availability is not 24/7. Luggage storage can be arranged upon request, enabling exploration before check-in or after check-out. The property has a lift to all floors, a security alarm, key card access, and fire extinguishers for safety. Pets are not allowed. Accepted payment methods are Visa, Maestro, CartaSi, and MasterCard. Guests note that the host communicates well and provides clear practical instructions for entry and use of facilities.
