GREEN HOUSE, Los Angeles

The hostel is situated in a central area, a 16-minute walk from Microsoft Theater and 2 km from Crypto.com Arena. Downtown LA is within a short bus ride (around 5 minutes). The immediate neighbourhood includes a metro station, a supermarket (Target), Whole Foods, and various chain restaurants within walking distance. For longer trips, Los Angeles Union Station is 5 km away, and the California Science Center is 5 km. Hawthorne Municipal Airport is 18 km from the property. The area has a mix of convenience and urban challenges, with some streets feeling less safe after dark - consider using rideshares or public transport for late returns.

All accommodation is in dormitory-style quad rooms (4 bunk beds). Upper bunks lack nearby power outlets, so bottom bunks are preferred for charging devices. The rooms are air-conditioned and soundproofed, helping to mitigate city noise. Some rooms include a terrace with city views. Each room has a seating area, a tea and coffee maker, and a dressing room. Toiletries and towels are provided. The shared bathrooms serve the entire top floor (around 12 people), which can lead to wait times at peak hours. Rooms are cleaned as needed, but daily servicing is not guaranteed; guests should plan to keep their own space tidy. Beds are basic but clean, with duvets that may come without a cover - bringing a sleep sheet is advisable.

The hostel does not have a restaurant, bar, or breakfast service. Instead, a well-fitted shared kitchen is available, equipped with an oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, and dining table. The kitchen closes at 10:00 PM, so plan meal preparation before that time. Several local restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, including Cafeteria Teragram, LOCALA Kitchen + Bar, E.T. Excellent Thai, La Parrilla, and Little Caesars, offering a variety of cuisines for dining out.

For leisure, the property has a garden, a shared lounge/TV area, and offers activities such as hiking, movie nights, walking tours, and board games/puzzles. These are self-guided or communal activities rather than organised programs. Boating in the surrounding area is also possible. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is 9 km away for a cultural visit.
