Hotel Details

Location

A 3-minute walk from JR Asakusabashi Station, this hostel offers easy access to Akihabara and Asakusa, with a lively area full of restaurants and convenience stores.
The property sits in a quiet neighborhood but is incredibly well-connected. JR Asakusabashi Station is a 3-minute walk, providing the Narita Skyaccess direct to/from Narita Airport (about 60-90 minutes). The Toei Asakusa Line subway station is a 5-10 minute walk. Akihabara, famous for electronics and anime, is a 10-15 minute walk, while the historic Senso-ji Temple and Asakusa area is a 20-minute stroll. The immediate surroundings are packed with dining options, including ramen, gyoza, and a Seven-Eleven and two Family Marts within a minute's walk. For those using a JR Pass, the location is very convenient, but travelers using only Metro passes will find the nearest Metro station (Akihabara) is a 10-15 minute walk, making the JR line the primary mobility option.

Accommodation

Rooms range from compact private rooms with futons on the floor to clean, spacious dormitories with comfortable bunk beds, privacy curtains, and power outlets.
The accommodation options include private rooms with two futon-style mattresses on the floor and a TV, and dormitory rooms with sturdy bunks. Private rooms are very compact, often allowing no space to fully open a large suitcase, but come with a private bathroom. Dormitory beds feature thick privacy curtains making them surprisingly dark, a comfortable mattress, personal reading light, and multiple power outlets including USB ports. Lockers are code-based and large enough for a carry-on bag. Room cleaning is provided daily, but the hotel does not pre-make the beds: folded bedsheets and pillowcases are placed on the bed for the guest to put on. The rooms have carpeting to dampen noise, and free air conditioning and heating are available, though the central system means it cannot be independently adjusted in dorm rooms. Noise from nearby shared bathrooms can disturb sleep in rooms adjacent to them, especially in the morning.

Dining

A paid breakfast buffet (620 JPY) with a Japanese and Western selection is served in the ground-floor cafe, which also functions as a bar and a social lounge.
Breakfast is available for an additional 620 JPY and is served in the hostel's cafe area. The buffet is described as a good value and includes items like grilled egg sandwiches, granola, salad, hot drinks, and vegetables. For other meals, the ground floor cafe/bar operates as a social hub, serving food like black curry, and holds evening events such as a soba noodle night (including a drink and unlimited noodles for 500 JPY). The area is rich with affordable eating options: within a 3-minute walk there are numerous ramen shops, a Japanese/Chinese fast-food restaurant open until 23:00, and a Seven-Eleven and Family Marts. A take-out shop a few blocks away offers salads and Japanese food by weight. The hostel kitchen is shared and contains a fridge and microwave, but no cutlery, cups, or cooking utensils, so meal preparation is limited to reheating.

Amenities

Free WiFi, coin laundry, luggage storage, and a shared cafe/lounge with movies and social activities are key services, but personal amenities like towels come at an extra charge.
Free WiFi is available throughout the property. A 24-hour front desk provides luggage storage (free, in the reception area) and lockers for use in dorm rooms. Coin-operated laundry is available on the top floor, but dryers are not very powerful and may require multiple cycles. The cafe/lounge on the ground floor has a projector showing movies nightly and is a popular spot to socialize; it also serves as the dining area for breakfast. For safety, the building uses key card access for rooms and has 24-hour security with CCTV. The main floor has a shared kitchen with a fridge and microwave, and a hot water dispenser. The single elevator serves all floors, which can create wait times during peak hours. The front desk staff speaks good English and is consistently described as friendly and helpful.

Top Strategic Tips

  • 01

Book a private room on a higher floor if noise from shared bathrooms is a concern.

  • 02

Use the luggage storage after checkout to explore nearby Asakusa or Akihabara.

  • 03

Plan to arrive after 16:00 check-in to avoid waiting, as bedsheets are provided folded and need to be put on.

  • 04

Bring your own towel and toiletries to avoid the additional charge for these items.
