The hostel sits in Bangkok's old town, putting major temples and cultural landmarks within easy walking distance: the Temple of the Emerald Buddha is 12 minutes away, The Grand Palace and Wat Pho are under 15 minutes, and the Bangkok National Museum is less than 1 km. Khao San Road's nightlife and street food are a 5-minute stroll, yet the actual street remains quiet. A 7-Eleven and multiple local eateries (including Aunt Nid's Thai milk tea shop) are right outside. The nearest metro station is Sam Yot, approximately 15 minutes on foot. For airport transfers, bus S1 (Suvarnabhumi, 60 THB) and A4 (Don Mueang, 50 THB) stop at Khok Wua station, a 5-minute walk away. Taxis or Grab cost 300-500 THB. A 24-hour laundromat is 100 metres down the road.

Rooms are primarily dormitory-style with bunk beds. Each bed is large, steady, and equipped with a privacy curtain, a personal light, and a thick duvet, making it easy to sleep even when others are active. The top bunks are stable with minimal shaking. The air conditioning is powerful, and windows or balcony access is available in some rooms. Lockers are located outside the dorm rooms, allowing bag access without disturbing others. Shared bathrooms are separated by gender, featuring hot showers with good water pressure, a bidet, and a hairdryer. Bathrooms and showers are cleaned frequently and remain in excellent condition. Free shampoo and soap are provided. The overall atmosphere is clean, functional, and quiet inside the dorms, despite the social common areas downstairs.

Breakfast is available for an extra 120 THB and includes a buffet with hot American dishes (eggs, sausages), à la carte choices, fresh juice, and fruit. The breakfast is considered simple but tasty and good value. The on-site bar serves affordable cocktails and drinks, with a relaxed atmosphere downstairs. For other meals, a huge variety of street food stalls, local restaurants (Pad Thai Bistro, Kaffee Haus, Choo Thin), and Khao San Road's dining are within a 3-5-minute walk. The shared kitchen on the first floor has a microwave, fridge, and dishes for self-catering, but does not include a kettle. Free drinking water is available at reception.

The ground-floor common area is large and includes a pool table, table tennis, a bar, plenty of seating, and exercise machines. The shared lounge/TV area and games room provide spaces to relax or meet other travellers. Daily social events range from pub crawls (three times per week), trivia, bingo, and cooking classes to morning market trips and Muay Thai fights. The hostel connects with its sister property down the road for bigger events, but Here We Go itself maintains a chiller, more social vibe rather than a pure party atmosphere. A notable perk is free access to the sister hostel's swimming pool, located about 12 minutes away on foot - just ask reception for details. Walking tours, karaoke, and board games are also available on-site.

The hostel is equipped with free high-speed WiFi throughout. Reception is open 24 hours, with multilingual staff (English and Thai) who are proactive about organising transport, tours, and events. Luggage storage is free and can be used both before check-in and after check-out, and showers are available after check-out.
