HOME1 - FLORENTIN BOUTIQUE HOSTEL, Vienna

The hostel sits in the quiet, architecturally rich 8th district (Josefstadt), a short 5-minute walk from Josefstädter Straße metro station (U6) and within 150 metres of a tram stop. The city centre (Stephansplatz) is 20-30 minutes away on foot. Vienna City Hall (Rathausplatz) is a 12-minute walk, and the Parliament of Austria is 1 km away. Several restaurants, bars and shops are within 300 metres. The surrounding area is peaceful yet well-connected, making it easy to reach all major tourist spots without a car. Vienna International Airport is 17 km away; the metro provides a direct connection.

Accommodation is offered in double and single rooms, all with parquet flooring, heating and a quiet street view. Each room includes a clothes rack and a lamp. The double rooms feature one large, very comfortable bed with high-quality bedding that guests often remark on. The single rooms are compact but functional and pleasant for solo travellers. All bathrooms are shared but plentiful, with multiple showers and toilets per floor, kept in pristine condition. Free toiletries and hairdryers are provided. The space is well heated, and the overall atmosphere is calm and conducive to a good night's sleep, with minimal noise from the street or other rooms.

The hostel does not have its own restaurant or bar. Instead, it offers a well-stocked shared kitchen in the basement, complete with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, hob and a full set of dishes, pots and utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. The surrounding area in Josefstadt is rich with dining options: at least eight restaurants and a live music venue (Tunnel Vienna Live) are within 300 metres, offering a variety of cuisines from Italian to Asian and Austrian. For a wider selection, the city centre is a 15-20 minute walk away.

Leisure options are predominantly neighbourhood-based. An ice-skating rink operates in the vicinity during the winter season, offering a local recreational activity. The hostel itself has no on-site spa, pool or gym, but the lively Josefstadt district with its bars, cafés and restaurants, combined with easy access to the city centre, makes it a practical base for exploring the cultural and entertainment offerings of Vienna.

Key facilities include free Wi-Fi throughout the building, a well-equipped shared kitchen and an express check-in/out service. The property uses a secure self-check-in system with a door handle keycode, which is particularly convenient for late arrivals. Luggage storage is available (check with the on-site team during 09:00-21:00). Fire extinguishers are installed for safety. There is no lift; the property is on multiple floors accessible via stairs. Public parking is available off-site (within a short walk) at €2.60 per hour, with no reservation needed. Street parking may also be available. Housekeeping maintains a very high standard of cleanliness across all areas, including shared bathrooms and the communal kitchen. No pets are allowed, and the property is entirely non-smoking.
