ALINA'S, Vienna

The property is in a lively, practical area of Ottakring, about 22 km from Vienna International Airport. Tram line 2 stops within metres and reaches the city centre in roughly 10 minutes, connecting to Karlsplatz and the main train station within 25 minutes by public transport. Several supermarkets, bakeries, pizza places, and a café are within a 5-minute walk. Wiener Stadthalle is an 18-minute walk away. The street itself can be busy with traffic and pedestrian noise until late, but courtyard-facing rooms are quieter. The neighbourhood is functional for budget travellers, with a nearby public swimming pool and market.

Room types include studios, one-bedroom apartments, and two-bedroom apartments, all with a private bathroom (shower, hairdryer) and a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, induction hob, and coffee machine. Some units have a separate living room or a balcony/terrace. The building has no lift, but ground-floor studios are available upon request. Rooms tend to be spacious but have dated furnishings: some beds may creak or have soft mattresses, and a few units have poor ventilation or street noise. Courtyard or patio rooms are quieter. Lighting is basic in several units - bedside lamps are not always provided. Floor heating is present but centrally controlled. Windows have shutters for blackout but street-facing rooms may still feel exposed.

There is no on-site restaurant, breakfast offering, or bar. Each unit has a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, induction hob, and coffee machine for self-catering. Basic cooking tools and dishes are provided, but you should bring essentials like salt, oil, and coffee. The surrounding streets have several dining options within a 5-minute walk, including a pizzeria, a bakery-café, and Austrian gastropubs. Supermarkets are within a short walk for groceries.

The property has no pool, spa, gym, sauna, or similar leisure facilities. A public swimming pool is located a few minutes' walk from the accommodation for those wanting to swim. The shared lounge/TV area provides a basic relaxing space, and an ice-skating rink exists in the surroundings, though its exact availability should be checked seasonally.
