ARAWANA HOSTEL SILOM, Bangkok

The hostel sits in the Silom district, a 20-minute walk from Lumphini Park and a short stroll to Silom's restaurants and nightlife. BTS Skytrain stations Chong Nonsi and Sala Daeng are both within 10 minutes on foot. Don Mueang International Airport is 27 km away, reachable by taxi for around 400 THB. Nearby you'll find a 7/11 convenience store, local markets, and a variety of eateries within a few hundred metres.

The hostel offers dormitories (4, 6, or 8 beds) and private rooms (double and single), all with shared bathrooms. Each bed has a half-length curtain that provides limited privacy, a reading light, and a personal locker (padlock required). Rooms include a wardrobe, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Some rooms are windowless; if daylight matters, request a room with a window. There is no elevator, so rooms on upper floors require stair climbing. Air conditioning is available 24 hours.

The ground-floor restaurant (also functioning as a bar) offers Thai dishes and snacks starting at 80 THB, and also sells bottled water, coffee, and soft drinks. Breakfast may be available depending on the room rate; check your booking for details. For other options, the surrounding streets have numerous restaurants and markets within a short walk.

Free WiFi is accessible throughout the hostel. Luggage storage is free for up to 3 days, then 50 THB per day per person. Laundry can be done via a self-service washing machine (30 THB per load); no dryer is available. The reception desk is staffed from 07:00 to 23:00 and can assist with basic enquiries. The hostel has key card access, CCTV, and smoke alarms. Bicycle parking is provided. The ground-floor common area has been converted into a bar, so social space is mostly limited to the rooftop terrace. No pets are allowed.
