Hotel Alga sits in Milan's southern industrial area, just off the A7 and West Ring Road - ideal for car travelers and those attending events at Mediolanum Forum (10 minutes by car) or the Milanofiori business center. A bus stop (line 46) directly opposite the hotel connects to Famagosta Metro in about 10 minutes, from where the green line reaches central Milan (Duomo) in roughly 30 minutes total. Linate Airport is about 15 km away (20 minutes by taxi) and Malpensa 40 km (1 hour by bus/train). Free street parking is available in front, and the immediate area has a pizzeria and a supermarket within 1 km.

Rooms range from double to triple and family configurations, all featuring air conditioning, soundproof walls, satellite TV with Sky channels, minibar, safe, and private bathrooms with shower (some with bath). Hypoallergenic duvets and linens are standard, and daily housekeeping is provided. Some rooms are described as spacious, while others are compact; the 7th-floor rooms require climbing one flight of stairs from the lift. Highway noise can be noticeable in road-facing rooms - quieter rooms face the inner courtyard. No tea/coffee making facilities are provided, and some rooms lack a safe. The overall decor is classic but the property is showing its age, particularly in the carpeted corridors.

Breakfast is served from 06:30 to 10:00 as a continental buffet with bread, pastries, jams, yoghurt, fresh fruit, and hot drinks. It can be taken in the breakfast room or delivered to the room if pre-ordered. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, but a snack bar and vending machines with drinks and snacks are available. For evening meals, a pizzeria is located directly opposite, and other dining options can be found within a 1-2 km drive. Special diet menus are available on request for breakfast.

The fitness centre is open around the clock and equipped with basic cardio and strength machines. It is free for guests. There is no swimming pool, spa, sauna or treatment rooms on site. For outdoor leisure, the hotel has a small garden.
