HOTEL BELLEVUE CANNES, Cannes

Hotel Bellevue is in the city centre, placing Palais des Festivals, the old port, and the shopping streets within a few minutes' walk. Cannes Train Station is 450 metres away, giving direct rail access along the Côte d'Azur and to Nice Airport. The waterfront and main beaches are a short stroll. For those arriving by car, parking is a challenge: free street spots near the hotel are scarce, and the nearest reliable option is the paid public Parking Vauban at 3 Rue Raphaël. The surrounding streets are lively but can feel dark at night; the area is well-suited to pedestrians.

The rooms are basic but functional, each with a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, and a flat-screen TV. Many rooms include a balcony, though the exact view and size vary by room - some face the street, others the courtyard. Room sizes range from compact singles to more spacious doubles, and a few larger rooms with a terrace exist. The property has no elevator, and some bedrooms are on basement levels or upper floors. The overall condition is dated, and cleanliness and maintenance standards have been inconsistent. Sound insulation between rooms and from the street is limited. Parquet flooring and ironing facilities (available from reception) are noted. Free toiletries are provided, and safety deposit boxes are available free of charge.

Breakfast is a continental buffet included in the room rate. It is typically served in the hotel's private outdoor courtyard and includes bread (often sliced toast), butter, jam, coffee, and tea. The offering is basic; there is no hot food, fresh pastries, or cheese. Coffee is available for free throughout the day. A coffee house is located on site, and breakfast can also be served in the room. Several restaurants are within a short walk, including Esmeralda (0.5 km), La Pizza Cresci (0.5 km), and others along the same streets.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. Express self check-in and check-out operate via keyless entry codes. Luggage storage is available at the reception area (though not secured). Daily housekeeping is included. A paid airport shuttle and a shuttle service can be arranged, with an additional charge. A vending machine for drinks and snacks is on site. Grocery deliveries are possible for an extra fee. Business services (fax/photocopying) are available for a surcharge. The hotel has 24-hour security, CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and safety deposit boxes. Family rooms are available, but no cots are provided. The property is non-smoking indoors; smoking is only allowed on the balcony. The hotel does not accept French holiday vouchers (chèques vacances). Accepted payment methods: American Express, Visa, Maestro, MasterCard.
