HOTEL CARRILLOS CANCUN, Cancun

The hotel sits in the heart of Cancun, putting you within walking distance of the ADO bus terminal, Mercado 23 and 28 markets, and numerous restaurants and shops. The area is well connected by local buses to the Hotel Zone and Puerto Juarez (for ferries to Isla Mujeres). Cancun International Airport is 17 km away - a paid shuttle (USD 10-20) or taxi is the typical transfer method since there is no airport shuttle. The central location makes it easy to explore the city on foot, but the immediate block can be lively, especially at night.

The hotel offers family rooms with air conditioning, a work desk, free toiletries, flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom. A Junior Suite adds a mini-refrigerator and a balcony. Room atmospheres vary - the property has a retro/vintage look, and while many rooms are large, comfortable, and quiet, some face a nightclub and can be very noisy until around 3 AM. Those sensitive to noise should request a room away from that side. Hot water can take 5-15 minutes to arrive in some rooms, and stable water temperature may require patience. Overall, the accommodation is practical and suited for travellers who plan to spend most of their time outside the room.

The restaurant offers a traditional breakfast with options like omelette with ham, bread, and hot drinks. The bar serves snacks and drinks throughout the day, with children's meals available for an additional charge. A fruit basket is also available. The surrounding streets offer many other dining choices within a short walk, making it easy to find variety if the hotel's breakfast does not fully meet your needs.

The year-round outdoor swimming pool is a key leisure feature, though it uses a manual filter system and the water can sometimes appear cloudy. The public bath is available free of charge. The pool area is shared among all hotel guests and provides a relaxing spot in the garden setting. There is no spa or wellness centre on site.

The 24-hour reception offers concierge service, tour desk, currency exchange, and express check-in/out. Free luggage storage is a practical perk for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping is included at no extra cost. Wi-Fi is free throughout but can be unstable in some areas, so a backup mobile connection is advisable. The property is non-smoking throughout and equipped with facilities for disabled guests. Safety features include CCTV, security alarms, and a safety deposit box. No parking is available.
