HOTEL DU CENTRE, Paris

Hôtel du Centre is located just 20 metres from Goncourt Metro Station, providing direct access to Châtelet-les-Halles and the wider metro network. Place de la République is a 7-minute walk away, while Père Lachaise Cemetery and Buttes Chaumont Park are both a 20-minute walk from the property. Gare de l'Est is 15 minutes away on foot, and several restaurants are within 0.5 km. The surrounding area offers practical dining options, though the immediate street entrance is partially blocked by a restaurant table, making access narrow.

Rooms are described in simple style and include a wardrobe, cable TV, and an en suite bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. In practice, the property has widespread and serious problems with dirt, mould, cockroaches, bed bugs, stained mattresses and linen, broken or non-functional showers and toilets, damaged walls and doors, and pervasive bad smells. The condition is substantially worse than depicted in property photos. Guests intending to book should be fully aware that the level of hygiene and upkeep is extremely poor, and many travellers have found the environment unacceptable for sleeping.

The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk (though the actual reception is handled from the adjoining restaurant, with no dedicated desk). Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. Public parking is possible at a nearby location at a cost of €24 per day, with no reservation needed. Pets are not allowed. Check-in is from 13:00 and check-out until 12:00. Luggage storage, laundry, and business facilities are not confirmed. The access staircase is narrow and in poor condition.
