Location

Hotel Lugano sits directly beside Lambrate Metro and Train Station, a 10-minute walk from Politecnico University and 7 km from Linate Airport.

The property's location is a primary strength for transit-oriented stays. Lambrate metro (M2 line) is steps away, offering direct connections to the city centre, Central Station, and the fairgrounds. Linate Airport is 7 km away-about 15 minutes by taxi-and Bergamo Airport requires a shuttle from Central Station. The Expo 2015 Centre is a 30-minute drive. Numerous restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, and a café are within 0.5 km along Via Pacini. Street parking is free on weekends but generally unavailable; the metro makes car-free exploration convenient. The area is relatively quiet for central Milan, suitable for those prioritizing transport links over nightlife.

Accommodation

Rooms are simple and functional with light-wood furniture, carpeted floors, flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom with hairdryer.

The accommodation is basic, compact, and practical-ideal for short stays where location and price matter more than space or luxury. Standard double, twin, and single rooms are available, each with tiled floors, a wardrobe, city views, and heating. Air conditioning is available for a 5 EUR daily surcharge. Beds are generally comfortable but some mattresses are older and may feel soft or have some sag. The bathrooms are small-the shower cubicle is narrow and the combined toilet-sink layout is tight for taller or larger guests. Noise can travel easily through walls and from cleaning staff in the morning; road-facing rooms are less quiet. Some rooms feature a generous terrace or balcony, which is a notable bonus when available. No in-room refrigerator or kettle is provided, but a shared fridge is available in the ground-floor lobby. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and toiletries, though consistency may vary.
