Public transport via U-Bahn (line U9) and S-Bahn (ring line) connects quickly to the ICC congress centre (direct), the exhibition grounds at the radio tower, the main railway station, all airports (via U-Bahn then express bus or rail), Gendarmenmarkt, Museum Island, and Potsdamer Platz. The tram stop outside (Bundesplatz) provides an alternative route. Popular neighbourhood eateries are within a 5-10 minute stroll. The location is well-suited for business visitors to the ICC and for tourists who prefer a calm neighbourhood base with excellent transport links.

The accommodation occupies the upper floors of a 100-year-old Stadthaus, with each room individually decorated in a nostalgic Berlin style - high ceilings, original stucco, and some period furniture combined with modern essentials such as a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. All rooms have a private bathroom with a hairdryer; carpeted floors are standard. Rooms sizes range from compact to spacious; several rooms have a balcony (room 14 has a side-street balcony). Despite the building's location on a busy avenue, windows provide effective sound insulation, and sleeping with a window open is possible in side-street rooms. The pension does not have air conditioning, but opening windows is the main cooling method. The character is described as charming but not ultra-modern; those seeking a conventional business-hotel atmosphere may prefer elsewhere. The property is entirely non-smoking.

Breakfast (available for 8 EUR per person) is a continental buffet offering bread rolls, pastries, cold meats, cheese, jam, butter, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, and hot drinks such as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
