HOTEL PIPPA, Nantucket

Hotel Pippa sits in the best-rated area of Nantucket, just 220 metres from the Nantucket Whaling Museum and 650 metres from both Children's Beach and the ferry to Cape Cod. Over a dozen restaurants, including The Corner Table, Dune, and Le Languedoc Bistro, are all within a 0.3km walk. Most of the historic downtown's attractions, shops, and eateries are reachable on foot within a 2km radius, making a car unnecessary for exploring the area. The ferry terminal is directly walkable, providing easy connections to Cape Cod without a shuttle.

Room types range from a queen or double bed room to a two-bedroom suite with two queen beds. Most rooms have en-suite bathrooms with a shower, free toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, and hairdryer. Two rooms have private detached bathrooms across the hall - one of which is the only room with two double beds. All rooms are air-conditioned and heated, and feature parquet floors, a wardrobe, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The rooms are individually decorated with artwork, and some offer views of historic downtown Nantucket. There are no rooms with a balcony. The first-floor rooms are available on request, and the suite includes a living room with a sofa, lounge chairs, and a coffee table. The property is a restored 1847 building with original architectural details, offering a cosy, well-maintained atmosphere. Some rooms can feel compact, but the quality of the linens, towels, and bath products is consistently high.

A continental breakfast is served each morning with items such as bread, pastries, fruit, and hot drinks. The selection may repeat over consecutive days, so those on longer stays may appreciate the variety of nearby cafés and restaurants within a short walk - including Born and Bread and The Corner Table Cafe, both 0.3km away. The outdoor patio with furniture and a fireplace offers a pleasant spot for breakfast or evening drinks. A bar is available on-site, offering wine, champagne (for an additional charge), and free fruit. There is no full restaurant at the hotel, but room service is available.

The property has an outdoor patio with furniture and an outdoor fireplace, providing a relaxing outdoor space. For beach trips, guests can borrow beach towels from the hotel. Children's Beach is 650 metres away and easily walkable. There is no spa, swimming pool, or fitness centre on-site, so leisure activities are centred around exploring the historic downtown, visiting the nearby beach, or enjoying the bar and outdoor seating. The hotel staff can arrange bike rentals and suggest local activities.

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the building. Daily housekeeping and luggage storage are included at no extra charge, and a concierge service is on hand to assist with bookings and local recommendations. Room service is available. The hotel is adults-only (children over 10 welcome) and is completely smoke-free. Security features include key access, fire extinguishers, and smoke alarms. Accepted payment methods are American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. Parking is not available on-site, so guests arriving by car should plan to use public car parks in town. The hotel does not offer an airport shuttle or a business centre. The property is accessible via stairs, and ground-floor rooms can be requested when booking.
