HOTEL SUEDEN, Berlin

Hotel Süden is located in a quiet residential area in southern Berlin, approximately 11 km from Brandenburg Airport. The U7 underground line at Zwickauer Damm-about 800 metres or a 10-minute walk-connects directly to the city centre and Alexanderplatz in around 25 minutes. Bus stops are within 100 metres of the hotel entrance, with the Bus 171 (to airport) stopping directly outside. Several restaurants (Rigoletto, Ristorante Cuore Salentino, Steakhaus Torero) are within a 5-minute walk, and a Lidl supermarket is just 5 minutes on foot. On-site free parking, no reservation needed, makes this a practical base for car-based exploration of Berlin or transit-oriented stays.

Accommodation includes Single, Double, Triple rooms and a one-bedroom Apartment with a separate living room and kitchenette. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer; some Double rooms add a bath and sofa. The Apartment features a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine. Standard room facilities include a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, and heating. The hotel's 1960s-era construction is evident in the interior: rooms with carpeted floors, original furniture, and noise sensitivity-corridor and street sounds can be audible. The building has no lift; rooms are accessed via stairs. A fan is available on request in summer as air conditioning is not installed. The triple room offers the most spacious layout. Those requiring quiet should consider requesting rooms away from the main road.

The hotel offers a daily buffet breakfast in its breakfast room, priced at 5 EUR per person. The spread includes bread rolls, pastries, butter, jam, cheese, cold meats, cereal, milk, yoghurt, juice, and coffee/tea from a machine. This is a continental-style breakfast with no hot cooked options. Breakfast is served from 06:00 on weekdays. The bar on the terrace provides drinks in the outdoor seating area. Wine and champagne are available for an additional charge. Special diet menus can be requested. For a broader selection of evening meals, several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk: Rigoletto (0.5 km), Ristorante Cuore Salentino (0.5 km), and Steakhaus Torero (0.5 km). The breakfast cost is not included in the room rate.

Wellness and sports facilities such as a pool, spa, sauna, or fitness centre are not available at this property. For recreation, the hotel provides an outdoor seating terrace and garden furniture where guests can relax. The surrounding area offers water sports options. Given the lack of on-site leisure amenities, this hotel is better suited to travellers using it as a base for city exploration or airport transit rather than a resort-style stay.
