HOTEL TEX, Rome

Termini station connects you to both metro lines A and B, the Leonardo Express to Fiumicino Airport, and numerous bus routes. The Colosseum and Roman Forum are about 15 minutes away on foot, while the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are roughly 25 minutes' walk. The immediate street outside the hotel is busy and includes a mix of shops and casual dining. Some travellers find the area around Termini to have a high concentration of street vendors and informal activity, particularly after dark, so planned routes are advisable. Parking is not available on site, making the location ideal for car-free travellers.

Room sizes are compact, particularly the standard doubles, which are best suited for short stays. Larger family rooms are available. Some rooms face the street and can experience traffic noise; interior rooms are quieter. Air conditioning units have been noted to occasionally underperform, so checking functionality early in your stay is advisable. Daily housekeeping is provided, though some guests have noted inconsistencies in deep cleaning. In-room amenities include a minibar, safe deposit box, hairdryer, and free toiletries. There is no kettle or coffee maker. Bed configuration can be requested (twin or double) by adding a note at booking.

The buffet offers a selection of Italian pastries and cakes, bread with jams, eggs, cold cuts, cereals, yoghurt, and fruit juices, plus coffee, cappuccino, and tea. The spread is adequate for a quick start to the day, though variety is limited and hot options are restricted to eggs. Several restaurants and cafés are within a short walk for those wanting a more extensive lunch or dinner.
