HOTEL TRIESTER, Vienna

The property is on a busy main road, but Tram line 1 stops just 2 minutes away on foot and reaches the city centre in 20-25 minutes. A supermarket (Billa) is 3 minutes away, and several cafes and fast-food restaurants are within 0.5 km. Belvedere Palace and Schönbrunn Palace are accessible by tram. The immediate area is residential with some night-time entertainment venues, so planning transport for late returns is recommended. For early airport departures, the S-Bahn S1/S7 lines are a 15-minute walk or a short tram ride away; taxi to the airport costs approximately €40-50.

The hotel offers single, double, triple, quadruple, family rooms, and apartments. All rooms include a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. The kitchenette is stocked with stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, and basic cookware and utensils. Rooms have soundproof walls, a dining area, wardrobe, and flat-screen TV with Netflix and YouTube. Some units feature a balcony or terrace facing the inner courtyard. Air conditioning is available but can be noisy; courtyard-facing rooms are quieter. Road-facing rooms are affected by continuous traffic noise. The standard double rooms are compact, while apartments and family rooms are more spacious. Streaming services require a personal account for Netflix and YouTube. Lighting includes only main ceiling lights, no bedside lamps, and there are limited power sockets near the bed.

Each room has a kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, and basic cookware, making self-catering straightforward. For those preferring to eat out, a supermarket (Billa) is a 3-minute walk for groceries. Several fast-food options - including Pizzeria Don Pablo, MiS Kebab, Twenty Two Restaurant, and Vapiano Wienerberg - are within 0.5 km. A kettle and coffee machine with complimentary capsules (refillable at reception) are provided in every room. The limited kitchen utensils (e.g., one knife, one chopping board) may make multi-day cooking challenging, but sufficient for simple meals.

Leisure facilities are limited to a shared lounge/TV area, a sun terrace, and a roof terrace with city views. The roof terrace is a quiet spot for relaxing in the evening. An ice-skating rink is located nearby, accessible within a short tram ride.

Business facilities include free fax/photocopying. Laundry is available at an additional charge. Safety features include CCTV, key card access, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. The 7-storey building has a lift, and allergy-free rooms, family rooms, and non-smoking rooms are available. There is a designated smoking area. Linen, towels, and basic toiletries (shower gel, soap) are provided. The reception operates 24 hours a day, offering luggage storage free of charge, and can assist with arranging airport transfers (taxi approximately €40-50). Parking is in a secure inner yard with 10 slots; reservation is essential due to high demand. After check-out, leaving the car on site costs €2 per hour.
