The hotel sits between Interstate 395 and a fire station, so highway noise is a factor for rooms facing the road. The US Capitol Building is a 10-minute walk away, and Nationals Stadium is 2 km from the property. Federal Center and L'Enfant Plaza metro stations are both within a 5-to-10-minute walk, giving access to all metro lines. Ronald Reagan National Airport is 4 km away; allow 45 minutes to Baltimore/Washington International without traffic. The Wharf area for restaurants and entertainment is about a 15-minute walk, but immediate dining options within a few blocks are very limited.

Standard rooms feature two queen beds, a sofa bed, a seating area with a flat-screen TV, and a work desk. Each room has a small beverage cooler and a one-cup coffee machine (no full refrigerator). Suites include a microwave. Private bathrooms have a bath or shower and come with free toiletries and a hairdryer. While rooms are spacious for three to four people, air-conditioning units can be noisy in some rooms. Noise from the highway and hallway sound penetration are common, so rooms on the non-highway side are significantly quieter.

The complimentary breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausages, tortillas with toppings, pastries, fruit, and coffee from Starbucks. The breakfast area can become very crowded; guests often wait in line and struggle to find seats between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. The on-site restaurant and bar serves food and drinks, but the menu is limited (e.g., pizza, Caesar salad) and service can be slow. The rooftop bar, CityBar DC, offers dinner and cocktails but is only open from 4:00 PM onwards, closes earlier on some nights, and is closed during the winter season. There are no other restaurants within a block, so planning evening meals ahead is advisable.

The outdoor pool is seasonal, open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The pool area features sun loungers and umbrellas but is small and located next to the highway. The fitness centre is open 24 hours and has equipment including a Peloton bike (according to some reports). There is no spa or sauna. For family entertainment, board games/puzzles are available. Happy hour and live sport events are broadcast at the bar.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/check-out and concierge services. Luggage storage is available and useful for exploring before and after your stay. A self-service guest laundry (coin-operated) and a minimarket are on-site.
