IL PLANCTON, Rome

The property is in a quiet, safe residential area close to the Vatican. St. Peter's Square is less than 1 km away, the Vatican Museums are 1 km, and Castel Sant'Angelo is 700 metres. Piazza Navona is a 17-minute walk, and Campo de' Fiori is 2 km. A metro station is a 10-minute walk, a bus stop is right outside, and the SITBusShuttle stop for Fiumicino Airport is 300 metres away - making car-free city access straightforward. The neighbourhood is well served by shops, bars, and restaurants, including several within a 5-minute walk.

Accommodation is in private rooms (triple rooms with one bed) and dormitory rooms sharing a bathroom inside the room. Rooms are spacious with high ceilings and large windows, but the furniture and finishes are basic: some rooms have older bathroom doors, noisy plumbing, and squeaky beds. The air conditioning is effective during summer, though some units are noisy. Exterior doors are often glass panels with thin curtains, so rooms facing the courtyard can be bright in the morning. Lockers are available inside rooms but are small - larger luggage typically goes under the bed. Heating is provided, and winter stays may feel cold.

Wi-Fi is free and works well in public areas. The shared kitchen is small but equipped for basic meal preparation. A sun terrace with plants and seating provides a quiet outdoor area. Daily housekeeping is free, though cleaning standards vary. Luggage storage is free before check-in and after check-out, which is helpful for extended city exploration. The reception is a desk in the kitchen area and is not staffed 24/7; check-in can be arranged independently using a key box. No pets are allowed. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, Maestro, and MasterCard.

The property does not offer breakfast or restaurant facilities. The shared kitchen has basic equipment for making simple meals. The surrounding Prati district has a high concentration of cafés, bars, and restaurants within a short walk, including several on the same street.
