IreneHouse is on a tree-lined residential street across from an elementary school, within an established neighborhood that is both quiet at night and safe for walking, even alone or after dark. The California Capitol Building is a 19-minute walk west, and the Sacramento Convention Center is less than 1 km away. Golden 1 Center is an easy flat mile walk. Sacramento Valley Station is 2 km from the property, and Sacramento International Airport is 16 km via I-5. The surrounding area offers numerous eateries, coffee shops, theaters, and shops along the walking route. Guests arriving late can use a lockbox for self-check-in.

The property is a historic Victorian duplex with suites that feel spacious and homey, featuring antique furniture, parquet floors, and large rooms.
