The hotel sits directly off Interstate 5, making car access straightforward for reaching downtown Seattle (approx. 10 minutes without traffic, up to 35 minutes at peak times). The Northgate Link Light Rail station is a 10-15 minute walk and provides direct routes into central Seattle, Pike Place Market and the waterfront. The surrounding area includes Northgate Mall, the University of Washington and several medical facilities including UW Medical Center and Seattle Children's Hospital. Several restaurants, a gas station and a 7-Eleven are within walking distance. The immediate vicinity can feel unsafe at night due to loitering and property crime; on-site security is present but effectiveness varies by shift. The parking lot is monitored by CCTV and 24-hour security.

The property is a converted motel with exterior corridors. Standard rooms are 48 m2, featuring a seated desk chair, microwave, mini-refrigerator and coffee machine. Two-room suites add a separate bedroom, full-size refrigerator, hot plates, utensils, toaster oven and a dining area. Bedding includes one king or two queen beds; some king rooms are available on the ground floor. Rooms have air conditioning and heating, but the units can be noisy. Soundproofing between rooms and from the freeway is inconsistent - road-facing rooms and upstairs rooms can carry noise from traffic and neighbours. The property is older and furnishings show wear, but clean linens and fresh-smelling bedding are consistently noted. Exterior corridors mean some road noise and street activity may be audible. No rooms have a balcony. Jetted tub rooms are available only by calling the hotel directly.

Breakfast is ordered from a card at the front desk and collected as a bag containing a sandwich, fruit, water or juice, and sometimes a granola bar or yogurt. The breakfast room is currently closed for renovation. The grab-and-go format replaces what was previously a hot buffet; expectations should be adjusted accordingly. The Saffron Bar and Grill is located directly across the parking lot and open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM, offering a menu of American, Indian and Mediterranean dishes. Several quick-service restaurants - including Teriyaki Plus, Cafe Bahn Mi, and a donut shop - are within a 5-minute walk. A convenience store and gas station are adjacent.

The fitness centre provides state-of-the-art Precor machines, including a stationary bike and weight training equipment, available free of charge. There is no swimming pool, spa, sauna or hot tub on site. A sun terrace is available, and an indoor play area is provided for children. A golf course exists within 3 km but is not affiliated with the hotel.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and connections are reliable for basic browsing. Business facilities include a business centre, fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet rooms (fees may apply).
