KING CHARLES HOTEL, Ocean City

Welcome to the King Charles Hotel, located a short stroll from the Boardwalk. Relax and swim in the Atlantic Ocean or take a stroll along the historic Ocean City Boardwalk. The hotel takes pride in clean, comfortable accommodations. The King Charles Hotel is family-owned and located one half-block from the beach and Ocean City's famous Boardwalk.

Rooms include a microwave, apartment-size refrigerator, and cable TV. A complimentary coffee and tea service is available daily in the lobby from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Front desk provides beach towels, paper plates, cups, plastic silverware, napkins, extra soap, TP, and shampoo upon request. All guest rooms are non-smoking. Rooms have private bathrooms and in-room phones. Each room includes air conditioning. Free wireless internet is provided. Parking is free, with one space per room. Daily maid service is provided between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The names of all guests must be registered at check-in. Information regarding your car description is also gathered at check-in for security purposes. Check-out time is 11 a.m. The hotel is equipped with smoke detectors and emergency evacuation plans. Coffee and tea service is available 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily in the lobby. Night security is provided from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Televisions and other devices must be kept at a respectful level from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Visitors must notify the Front Desk upon arrival and must be accompanied by the registered guest. The hotel is not responsible for any item left behind by a guest. Items, with the exception of perishable items, will be kept for up to fourteen days.

Guests can relax in the common seating area. Families can bring a picnic basket and beach chairs to Northside Park, 125th St for ice cream sundaes and live entertainment during the Sundaes in the Park family concert series offered Sunday evenings in July and August from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy fireworks at 9pm. Enjoy a movie on a 16-foot projector at 27th Street. Each Tuesday evening features contests for all ages at the Family Beach Olympics on the beach at 27th Street. Enjoy live entertainment at Ocean City's Caroline Street Stage on the beach by the Boardwalk on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm. Enjoy a movie at the Carousel Resort Hotel, 118th Street Oceanfront every Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. Free, live entertainment with tribute bands and local favorites are available. Watch the sun set over the Isle of Wight Bay from South Division Street. The Ocean City Tourism Board puts together fireworks displays on the beach annually throughout the summer from June-August as well as other family friendly events. Explore Assateague Island's sandy beaches, salt marshes, maritime forests and coastal bays.

Guests can have a cup of coffee or tea on the front porch in wicker chairs. Cookies or brownies are available each evening at 7:00 PM in the hotel lobby. Crabs and other pungent items are allowed on the front or back porch where tables are available.
