LA GUGLIA - GUGLIA HOUSE APARTMENT-CANNAREGIO-VENEZIA, Venice

This historic Cannaregio location places you within a comfortable walking distance of Ca' d'Oro (less than 1 km), Frari Basilica (1 km), and Scuola Grande di San Rocco (a 14-minute walk). The Vaporetto stop at Guglie provides direct routes to all major landmarks and to Marco Polo Airport (12 km away), making car-free exploration of Venice straightforward. The immediate area is peaceful yet has a bakery opposite and a variety of restaurants within a short walk, including a highly recommended trattoria 50 metres away.

The apartment sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms (one master room noted as spacious) plus a sofa or additional single bed, with a total of three beds. The bathroom is private and includes a shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. The fully equipped kitchen has a stovetop, refrigerator, oven, microwave, tea and coffee maker, and all necessary cookware and utensils. A washing machine, ironing facilities, and a dining area with a table and wardrobe are provided. The living area features a split air-conditioning unit (located in the entrance area) plus heating. Some beds may have a slight slope, which can feel unusual but was not a cause for discomfort. The neighbourhood is quiet, and the property is clean and well maintained.

The kitchen is well stocked for preparing meals independently, with a stovetop, oven, fridge, microwave, and a full set of cookware and utensils. A bakery directly opposite the apartment provides fresh pastries each morning. Within a 100-metre radius there are at least eight restaurants, including Gam Gam Kosher Restaurant, Ciccheteria venexiana da Luca e Fred, Pizzeria Ristorante Al Faro, and Ristorante al Gazebo. A trattoria 50 metres away is particularly praised. The dining area inside the apartment has a table suitable for meals for up to four.

The apartment's leisure options are centred on exploring Venice on foot or by Vaporetto. The quiet Cannaregio location provides a peaceful base after busy days visiting landmarks such as Ca' d'Oro, Frari Basilica, and Scuola Grande di San Rocco, all within easy walking distance. The Vaporetto stop at Guglie also connects to the Lido beaches and other islands, and the apartment's well-equipped kitchen makes it simple to prepare light meals or snacks before heading out.

Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and is free of charge. Air conditioning is provided via a single split unit located in the entrance area, which cools the living space effectively. The apartment has heating and is entirely non-smoking. Security features include CCTV outside the property, a security alarm, smoke alarms, and a fire extinguisher. There is no on-site parking; the hotel recommends the Vaporetto or walking. Luggage storage is available before check-in, allowing you to explore the city. The virtual key system works with a smartphone (requires internet connection); a traditional key is also provided once inside. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out by 10:00.
