Access to the apartment building is via a small tunnel and inner courtyard, which also houses the building's garbage bins. Despite this, the area is lively and safe, with two coded entry doors. A wide selection of dining, shopping and landmark sights-including the Old Port and Château Frontenac-are within a few minutes' walk.

Units vary in layout: some have a separate living room and bedroom, while others place the shower in the living area without full privacy. Bed counts range from one to three. All rooms include a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, stovetop and basic cookware, plus a tea and coffee maker, hairdryer and free toiletries. The building is a split-level century property with inner courtyard access. Soundproofing between rooms and from the street is limited, and a nearby nightclub can produce noise late into the night. Air conditioning is provided but some units rely on older, noisy units. Cleanliness and maintenance consistency have been mixed; some units have shown wear such as worn carpet or older pillows. It is advisable to inspect the room and bedding upon arrival and request adjustments if needed. Some rooms have a work desk, a dining table and a wardrobe. Extra cots are available upon request.
