The resort sits directly on the Chattahoochee River at the top of the tubing run, placing you steps from the town's main attractions. Helen's Bavarian-style downtown, with its German restaurants, bakeries, and a mountain roller coaster, is a short walk away. Several wineries are within a 24 km drive, and Atlanta is about 90 minutes by car. The free on-site parking makes it easy to arrive and stay car-free while exploring town on foot.

Units are generous in size and include a separate living area with a fireplace, a kitchenette with full-size appliances, and a private balcony or patio. Master bedrooms have queen beds; loft areas in some units contain twin beds. The property retains its original 1980s decor, including wallpaper, small CRT-style televisions, and linens that feel dated. Bedding is firm and the box springs can be noisy. Choose a ground-floor unit to avoid noise from above and for easier access with luggage and groceries. Rooms are cleaned upon arrival, but daily housekeeping is not offered.

Each unit comes with a well-equipped kitchen featuring a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and basic cookware, though pots and pans may be limited.
