The guest house is about 3 km (3 km) from Edinburgh Waverley station and the city centre, with buses (routes 1 and 25) stopping right outside. The tram stop is a 10-minute walk away and provides direct service to Edinburgh Airport. Portobello Beach is 3 km away, the Royal Yacht Britannia is 2 km away, and Edinburgh Castle is 4 km away. The neighbourhood of Leith is within a 10-minute walk and offers pubs, restaurants, and a supermarket (Tesco is a 5-minute walk). On-street parking is free and usually available.

Room types include double rooms with en-suite shower and toilet, a double room with external private bathroom (private, not shared, but a few steps down the hall), a double room with shared bathroom, a twin room with shared bathroom, and a twin/double room on the 2nd floor with an electric kettle. All rooms come with a work desk, heating, ironing facilities, slippers, and daily cleaning. The accommodation is warm and comfortable, with good water pressure in the shower. Rooms overlooking Leith Links park offer a pleasant view and are quiet. External bathrooms are private and located just across the hall; they have a shower, toilet, and are cleaned daily.

Breakfast is available for a daily charge of 7 GBP. It includes a full English or Irish cooked breakfast with warm dishes, juice, fruit, and bread.
