The immediate area is lively and party-oriented, with clubs and nightlife within easy reach. However, the neighbourhood can feel less secure at night, with a visible homeless presence, so solo travellers should be mindful when returning late.

Accommodation is in dormitories of various sizes - from 4-bed to 10-bed rooms. All rooms have shared bathroom facilities, except one female-only dorm that includes a private en-suite. Each bed comes with a large security locker (bring your own padlock) and some have USB charging ports. Rooms are generally compact, with limited space for storing belongings beyond the locker. The building has no elevator, and female dorms are often on the fourth floor - a ground-floor 8-bed dorm is available on request. Most rooms rely on fans rather than air conditioning, which can make summer nights hot and uncomfortable. Street noise from nearby clubs can be audible, particularly in rooms facing the road.

The hostel does not operate a restaurant or offer breakfast, but the shared kitchen is well-equipped with utensils, an oven, and a smoothie maker. It is open from 06:00 to midnight. Free dinners are provided two to three times a week, often with vegetarian and vegan options, and are a highlight for many solo travellers. The surrounding area offers a vast selection of eateries, including Pizza Boccone, Ms G's, and House Bar and Bistrot, all within a five-minute walk. For morning meals, several cafés are nearby, and supermarkets are just around the corner for groceries.

Residents receive a free gym pass to a partner facility, which is a practical perk for longer stays. On-site, the hostel has a cinema room, a TV lounge, a courtyard with outdoor seating, and a sun terrace. There are no spa, pool, or wellness facilities of any kind. The social programme is the main leisure offering: organised events run almost every night, including free dinners, trivia, movie screenings, and group outings to local clubs. The courtyard is the designated smoking area and closes at 22:00.

Wi-Fi is free and reliable throughout the building. Secure luggage storage is available on the day of arrival and departure at no extra cost, but cannot hold bags for longer periods. Laundry is available for a fee. The shared kitchen is open 06:00-00:00 and includes a fridge, stove, and all basic cookware. A safety deposit box is free of charge, and CCTV covers common areas and the exterior. Housekeeping cleans rooms daily, and the property is managed with key-card access for security. The reception is staffed from 08:00 to 20:00, but a night manager handles late arrivals until 02:00. No airport shuttle is provided; Kings Cross train station is a two-minute walk.
