MARBEL ALDGATE, London

The property sits at the bottom end of Brick Lane (900 metres), with Tower Bridge 2 km away and Sky Garden 1 km from the door. Aldgate East tube station (District and Hammersmith & City lines) is directly across the road, providing a 10-minute journey into central London. London City Airport is 9 km away. The immediate area is dense with restaurants, supermarkets (Tesco Express, Poundland), and vintage shops. The entrance is via a narrow alleyway shared with restaurant back doors, which can feel intimidating after dark and is not signposted.

Rooms are small and windowless, each featuring air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a tea and coffee maker, and a welcome gift of chocolate. Single rooms include a wardrobe and a desk; double rooms offer a comfortable bed. The single bathroom (toilet and shower) is shared by all rooms, which can lead to queues at peak times. Some rooms are near the front door or adjoining walls, making noise from other guests and the tube more noticeable. Light sleepers should bring ear plugs.

Guests can use the shared kitchen, which is equipped with a microwave, kettle, fridge, and kitchenware. Tea, coffee, and milk powder are provided. There is no restaurant, bar, or breakfast offering on the property. The surrounding area has numerous dining options within a short walk, including Aldgate Coffee House and Efes Restaurant (both 0.5 km), Sushinoen (0.5 km), and Jack the Chipper (0.5 km). A discount is available at a nearby restaurant.
