MERRY V GUESTHOUSE, Bangkok

The guesthouse sits on a lively street filled with restaurants, bars with live music, markets, massage shops, and a supermarket. It is 27 km from Don Mueang International Airport. The immediate area is very walkable, with many attractions, food stalls, and nightlife within a few minutes. While the street itself is busy, some rooms are set back enough to reduce direct noise. The Khao San Road bus terminal is close by for onward overland travel.

The ground-floor restaurant offers reasonably priced Thai dishes and Western options, with breakfast available daily. The attached bar provides a social setting. There are at least seven other restaurants and cafés within a 300-metre radius, including Indian, noodle, and local Thai options. The area also has plenty of street food and market stalls.

The property has a small garden for relaxation. Each floor offers a balcony, which is also used by smokers. The surrounding area is packed with bars, live music venues, markets, and massage shops. The guesthouse does not have a pool, gym, or spa.

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the property, with a strong signal reported. Shared bathrooms are cleaned daily but may lack toilet paper and soap; it is advisable to bring your own. The staff can assist with booking tours and onward bus tickets. Check-in is from 14:00 and checkout by 11:00; luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. There is no lift, so upper-floor rooms require stair access. Air conditioning is available in some rooms for an extra fee. The guesthouse is non-smoking indoors, though smoking is permitted on the balconies.
