MOTEL BLUE MESSE, Berlin

Accommodation options include single rooms, double rooms, and studios. Rooms are furnished with a work desk, wardrobe, safe, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and free toiletries. Studios additionally feature a kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, kitchenware, tea and coffee maker, and a dining area. Some double rooms add a balcony. Room size is the main differentiator: standard double rooms are compact and practical for a night or two, while superior/studio rooms offer more space and extra facilities. The building's older structure means soundproofing is effective, but rooms facing the main road are exposed to traffic noise. Those on inner-courtyard sides are significantly quieter. A common limitation is the lack of blackout curtains - only sheer curtains are provided, so the room is bright in the morning. Some rooms have been noted as having very hard beds, though the majority find them comfortable. The hotel is non-smoking throughout, and rooms are allergy-friendly.

Breakfast is served in a small dining room. The buffet includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, eggs (scrambled or omelette), and hot drinks from a machine. The selection is described as sufficient and fresh, with particular praise for the pastries and vegetarian options. For those with early departures, the staff can arrange an earlier breakfast time on request. Coffee, tea and water are available throughout the day. Outside of breakfast, there is no restaurant or bar, but the surrounding streets offer several eating options within a 5-minute walk.

There is no pool, spa, gym, sauna or leisure area on the premises. The location compensates with easy access to Berlin's cultural and green spaces: the Olympiastadion is within walking distance, and the U-Bahn quickly reaches the Tiergarten park and central Berlin landmarks. The focus here is on practical, event-oriented stays rather than resort-style relaxation.

WiFi is available throughout the property and is free. Daily housekeeping is included at no extra charge, though some stays report cleaning being limited to bed-making, trash removal and towel changes rather than full surface cleaning. Luggage storage is free of charge, useful for early arrivals or late departures. The building has a lift, but access requires climbing a short flight of stairs, so it is not fully barrier-free. The reception desk offers private check-in/check-out, tour desk, invoice provision, and room service. Security features include CCTV in common areas, key card access, smoke alarms and fire extinguishers. On the practical side, staff are generally described as friendly and helpful. For bookings and payment, the hotel accepts a wide range of cards.
