PALAZZO DONARELLI, Rome

Located on a street midway between the Vatican and Piazza Navona, the apartment sits in a neighbourhood dense with restaurants (over half a dozen within 300 metres), cafés and shops. A bus stop to Termini station is a short walk away, and the area is well connected by public transport. The excellent walkability means the Colosseum is also accessible on foot, making car use unnecessary for sightseeing. Ciampino Airport is 17 km away (approx. €35 by white city taxi, 45 minutes).

The apartment sleeps up to four across two bedrooms: a master with a large closet and quiet positioning at the back, and a second bedroom. The living room includes a bookcase, flat-screen TV, and sofa. The well-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, capsule coffee machine, electric kettle, and a supply of tea, coffee, oil, salt and sugar. The bathroom includes a shower, bidet, hairdryer and free toiletries. Air conditioning keeps the space cool on hot days, and the building's structure also helps keep it fresh naturally. Stylish decor and comfortable mattresses add to the liveable feel, while the ground-floor courtyard entrance provides security and relative quiet even during street work.

The kitchen is equipped for proper meal preparation: a full-sized oven, hob, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, and basic pantry staples (tea, coffee, sugar, salt, oil). Dozens of dining options are clustered nearby, including a highly recommended restaurant on the same street (Juliette, 5 minutes walk) and other cuisines - Italian, Mexican, pizza, and wine bars - within 300 metres. For groceries, a supermarket and pharmacy are close by, making self-catering or quick snacks easy.

The property does not offer a pool, gym, spa or dedicated leisure amenities. However, its location in the historic centre makes it an ideal base for exploring Rome on foot - the Colosseum, Vatican, Piazza Navona, and Spanish Steps are all within a comfortable walking radius. The nearby Castel Sant'Angelo is a 5-minute walk. Guests wanting relaxation can use the many piazzas, parks and rooftop terraces of the neighbourhood's bars and restaurants.

The apartment is accessed via a lift and is on the ground floor - suitable for those who prefer to avoid stairs. Free WiFi is provided throughout. Daily housekeeping can be arranged for an additional fee. Pets are allowed on request (charges may apply). Payment is by major credit cards (Visa, Maestro, MasterCard). The host team is noted for being highly communicative, responsive, and able to advise on restaurants, transport and local shopping. The property does not have on-site parking, but a paid public garage (Parking Giulia) is available nearby by arrangement. No shuttle or airport transfer service is offered, but the owner can advise on white taxi bookings from the airport.
