PANTHEON CARAVAGGIO'S HOUSE, Rome

The apartment sits in a quiet, safe piazzetta within the pedestrian-friendly core. The Roman Forum is 1 km away, and Piazza Navona, the Colosseum and St Peter's Square are all within 3 km; most main sights are reachable on foot in 20-45 minutes. Bus stops are four, five and seven minutes away, the nearest taxi stand is a short walk, and a grocery store is close by. Rome Ciampino Airport is 16 km from the property. The surrounding lanes are full of restaurants and shops, making it easy to combine sightseeing with everyday errands without a car.

The main bedroom is quiet and faces a peaceful inner courtyard, with shutters that create complete darkness at night. The unit has two beds, with additional sleeping space on the living-room sofa; this layout works best for a couple or two friends, while a family would find the sofa bed less private. The modern bathroom has a shower, free toiletries and a hairdryer. Air conditioning, heating, parquet flooring, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a work desk and tea and coffee-making equipment are included. A seating area and dining area sit within the living room. The kitchenette contains a stovetop, refrigerator, kitchenware and toaster, suitable for breakfast and light meals. An elevator serves the first-floor apartment.

Breakfast can be taken at the property's coffee house, making an early start easy. The apartment also has tea and coffee-making facilities for a quick morning drink. A welcome drink is provided on arrival, and wine or champagne can be ordered for an additional charge. The immediate surroundings add plenty of choice: Pizza E Mozzarella, Il IV Senso SRL, La Pigna, Enoteca Corsi, Osteria La Locanda del Prosciutto and L'Antico Caffè Della Pigna are all within 0.5 km, with Origini Gelateria nearby and Giolitti at 0.5 km.

The building houses temporary art exhibitions that are free to view, and the apartment includes art displays, giving the stay a gallery-like character. For leisure, the quiet piazzetta outside and the short walk to Rome's monuments make the historic centre itself the main attraction. The surrounding streets offer cafés, shops and gelaterie within a few minutes on foot.

Free Wi-Fi covers all areas. The apartment has no washing machine, so plan around laundry needs. Luggage storage is available in the same square, which is useful for early arrivals. A paid shuttle service can be arranged for transfers, and an invoice is provided for business stays. The host provides clear arrival instructions, including access details for the building and apartment. The building is non-smoking throughout, and pets are not allowed.
