The property sits in the heart of Playa del Carmen, 400 metres from the ADO International Bus Station and 600 metres from the Maritime Terminal (ferry to Cozumel). The disabled-friendly beach is just 500 metres away, while Kool Beach Club is 1 km. The central town square with its night market and entertainment is adjacent, and a Walmart is within a very short walk. Numerous restaurants, bars, and local food markets are concentrated within 300-500 metres. The area is quiet at night because bars and discos are on Fifth Avenue, with only occasional noise from a nearby hostel until 23:00 on Fridays. Cancun International Airport is 45 km away.

Papaya 15 Apartments does not operate a restaurant. However, each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen (stovetop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle) and all necessary cookware. Grocery delivery is available for a surcharge. Within a 300-500 metre radius, there are over a dozen dining options including Nordic, La Parota Cocina de Barrio, La Lanchita, La Famiglia, PAPAKAO Las quecas de playa, Don Mario Ristorante Pizzeria, Smokehouse BBQ, and La Cazota Grill Restaurant. A Walmart is a very short walk away for self-catering supplies.

The rooftop outdoor swimming pool is open all year and features a pool with a view, shallow end, and sun loungers with umbrellas. Towels are provided. An adjacent hot tub/Jacuzzi and a solarium are also free of charge. The fitness centre (free memberships) includes fitness classes. A barbecue grill is available on the sun terrace.
