THE PARK AVE NORTH, New York

The Park Ave North is situated on a residential street in Harlem, providing a base close to several New York attractions. Central Park is within 1 km, Yankee Stadium is 3 km away, and both Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall are within 6 km. The nearest subway station, 125th Street (serving the 2 and 3 lines), is about a 7-8 minute walk, offering direct routes to Times Square in roughly 30 minutes. LaGuardia Airport is 7 km from the property. The immediate area around 125th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is lively but can feel less secure, especially at night, with some areas showing signs of urban decay. Using the 125th Street Lexington Avenue subway stop (green line) is recommended for a more direct and safer route. A 24-hour gas station is located directly across the street. For car users, an indoor parking garage is a 2-minute walk away, costing approximately $25 per night.

The property does not offer a breakfast service or a restaurant. Guests can prepare simple meals in their rooms using the provided microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine (with tea and coffee supplies). For eating out, several fast-food and casual dining options are within a 0.5 km walk, including Taco Bell, IHOP, and local eateries such as Uptown Veg and Serengeti Teas and Spices. The surrounding area also has grocery and convenience stores, making it easy to stock up on supplies. While dining on-site is not available, the room facilities give flexibility for those on a budget or with specific dietary needs.

The Park Ave North does not provide a swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre. The garden is available for guest use, but the adjoining patio and lounge remain closed. For recreation, Marcus Garvey Park is an 8-minute walk away, offering green space and a playground. Central Park is a 20-minute walk, and the Museum of the City of New York is a short drive or a 30-minute walk. The property's focus is on providing clean, budget-friendly accommodation with essential amenities, rather than leisure extras.

WiFi is free throughout the property and is reported to be reliable for browsing and streaming, with screen-share functionality available on the TV. Express self-check-in and self-check-out systems are in place, with clear instructions provided for arrivals after reception hours. Luggage storage is available free of charge for both early arrivals and late departures, allowing guests to explore without carrying bags. The waiting lounge has free WiFi and self-serve coffee/tea. Safety features include key card access, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and a safety deposit box (free). Pets are not allowed. There is no on-site parking, but free street parking is available on a first-come basis (subject to NYC street-cleaning restrictions), and a paid indoor parking garage is a 2-minute walk. The reception is staffed from 10:00 to 18:00; outside these hours, self-service procedures apply. No airport shuttle is available.
