The lodge is within easy walking distance of Randwick's main street, with supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and shops. The L2 light rail provides a direct route to Circular Quay and the city centre; buses also run nearby to Coogee Beach. Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport is about 7 km away. UNSW is a short walk, making this a practical base for university visits. On-street parking is free but can be busy, especially in the evening.

Rooms are compact but well-equipped: each has a kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and kitchenware; plus a flat-screen TV, soundproof walls, and a washing machine. Some rooms have a balcony with garden views. Bedding includes king or single options in loft studios; some rooms offer a king bed that can be converted to two singles. Blackout blinds are available in all rooms. Note that the Deluxe room has a shared shower, and one room in the main house shares a bathroom. Road-facing rooms may be less suitable for light sleepers; requesting a courtyard-facing room is advisable.

The property does not have a restaurant or bar. Each room includes a kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and kitchenware for self-catering. The shared kitchen offers additional equipment, including a coffee machine and barbecue facilities.
