SHANTI'S ANDALUSIAN ROOMS, Malaga

The guest house occupies a narrow alley (no taxi access; best approached on foot from the main road) in the historic centre. La Malagueta Beach is 2 km away - a 20-minute walk or short tram ride. The Museum of Glass and Crystal is a 5-minute walk, and the Alcazaba is 1 km. Malaga Airport is 10 km away; the airport train station is a 20-minute walk. A nearby parking garage (Las Delicias) provides an option for those arriving by car, though on-street parking is near-impossible. Dozens of restaurants, bars and cafés are within a 2-minute walk, making it easy to eat out without needing to go far.

Each room includes a private bathroom (some with spacious, modern showers and bidets). Rooms have either a balcony or a terrace, and some look onto the central courtyard. Ground-floor rooms (especially Room 1) can be dark, stuffy, and prone to noise from the street and other guests; first-floor rooms with a balcony receive more light and are quieter. Rooms are described as compact to spacious - about 10-12 m2 in practice - with tiled floors, a dressing area, and hangers (no full wardrobe). Air conditioning is available and effective, though some rooms can feel humid. No in-room coffee/tea making, kettle, or fridge. A flat-screen TV with Netflix-ready streaming is standard, though some rooms may not have a working TV if not described. Free water cooler is available in the hallway.

The property does not offer breakfast, a restaurant, or a bar. However, the location is surrounded by a wide choice of eateries: Brunchit Coffee & Kitchen, Restaurante los Hidalgos Bodegon, and several tapas bars are all 0.5 km away. For a quick coffee or a full meal, everything is within easy walking distance. The free water cooler in the hallway is useful for refilling bottles before heading out. No kitchen or dining facilities are available in the rooms.

There is no pool, spa, gym, sauna, or games room. The main leisure option is the city itself: La Malagueta Beach is 2 km away (a 20-minute walk), and the historic centre with its museums, shops and bars is immediately accessible. The terrace and inner courtyard provide a quiet outdoor space within the building, but they are not recreational facilities. For active guests, walking to the cathedral or Alcazaba makes for a pleasant urban excursion.
