The Kylemore Luas stop is roughly 200 metres away, putting the city centre about 15-20 minutes away by tram, and city-centre buses stop on the main road beside the hotel. Airport route 726 can be picked up at the nearby Red Cow stop. Driving works well, with easy M50 access and the airport around 20 minutes away by car. Crumlin Hospital is a short drive, making the location useful for hospital visits. McDonald's, a petrol station with a deli and a Costa Coffee are within a few minutes' walk, and several local restaurants sit within about a kilometre.

Breakfast is offered as a cooked-to-order Irish breakfast or a continental buffet, with special diet menus available on request. Pre-paying for breakfast is cheaper than paying at the table, so it is best arranged when booking or the night before. The restaurant serves evening meals, and the bar menu is wider than the restaurant menu, with restaurant dishes also available in the bar. Kids' meals are offered for an additional charge; the children's breakfast menu is charged at the adult rate and has a smaller selection, with extras billed separately. Breakfast in the room is an option. Live music is a regular feature in the bar in the evenings. Within a short walk, McDonald's, a petrol station deli and Costa Coffee offer quick options, while McGettigan's Cookhouse & Bar, Grain & Grill and The Farmhouse Cafe are within around a kilometre.

The indoor pool is open all year and is large enough for lane swimming. The sauna, steam room and hot tub are free to use, and fitness equipment and fitness classes are on site. Spa treatments, including hot stone massage, can be booked at the leisure centre. Opening hours are limited, with the club closing in the late afternoon or early evening, so the facilities suit daytime visits better than evening plans. The separate building means going outside to reach the pool and spa, which is worth factoring in during cold or wet weather. Swimming caps are compulsory in the pool and cost 2 EUR on site if needed. Lockable lockers are available in the changing rooms. The leisure club also admits external members, so it is not exclusive to those staying at the hotel.

The 24-hour front desk handles late arrivals, and luggage can be stored free of charge, which smooths early or late transport connections.
