SOFTLIGHT INN ASAKUSA TOKYO, Tokyo

The hotel sits in a calm, traditional residential area of Asakusa, about 800 metres from Asakusa Station (Ginza and Asakusa lines). Senso-ji Temple is roughly 8 minutes on foot, and Tokyo Skytree is within easy walking distance. The surrounding streets are lined with local restaurants, convenience stores (7-Eleven nearby), and small shops, offering an authentic neighbourhood feel. Haneda Airport is about 30 km away - accessible by train in roughly one hour via Asakusa Station. An airport drop-off service is available and can be booked at check-in. For city exploration, the nearby bus stop and metro lines connect well to other districts, though the station is a pleasant but considerable walk from the hotel.

Accommodation options include single, double, twin, quadruple, and family rooms, with some rooms featuring a balcony and city or Skytree views. Each room has a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries; certain rooms also include a bathtub. Standard amenities include a tea and coffee maker, work desk, seating area, flat-screen TV with streaming services, and parquet or carpeted floors. Some rooms include a washing machine inside the unit. Room sizes vary significantly - smaller units are best suited for solo travellers, while family rooms and deluxe categories offer more spacious layouts. Some rooms are located in an annex building without a lift.

The hotel does not have its own restaurant or breakfast service. A snack bar and coffee house on site provide basic refreshments. A shared communal kitchen is available for guests to prepare meals, equipped with a microwave, electric kettle, and shared refrigerator. The neighbourhood offers numerous casual dining options - including Genmyo, Cafe Michikusa, and Konohana - all within 300 metres, covering Japanese, grill, and café food. For groceries and drinks, a 7-Eleven is a short walk away.

The property features a hot tub/jacuzzi for guest use. For additional leisure activities, the hotel can arrange paid experiences such as happy hour, tours or classes about local culture. Off-site options include live music, movie nights, temporary art galleries, and themed dinner nights (some free, some with a charge). The outdoor terrace offers a space to unwind, and family rooms with balconies provide a private spot to enjoy fresh air or city views.

Free WiFi is accessible throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, private check-in/out, and a tour desk. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, and a luggage forwarding service can receive parcels from other cities. A communal lounge and TV area with free tea and water provides a space to relax. Laundry facilities include coin-operated washing machines and dryers (200 yen per load), a free iron, and a drying room. A vending machine dispenses drinks, and amenities such as free toiletries are available at reception. The building has a lift (main building), key card access, CCTV, and a security alarm.
