STOCKHOLM AENGBY CAMPING, Stockholm

Stockholm Ängby Camping sits on the shore of Lake Mälaren, within a nature reserve and a short walk from a sandy beach. The nearest metro station (Ängbyplan) is 500 m (5 min walk), with trains every 15 minutes to Stockholm city centre (about 20 minutes). Bromma Stockholm Airport is 6 km away, and Stockholm City Hall is 10 km from the property. The area is quiet and green, making car-free access easy, and free private parking is available for those driving. The location combines a peaceful base with efficient public transport links to the inner city.

Accommodation ranges from small bungalows to larger cabins, all featuring a kitchenette with a hotplate, fridge, and basic cookware. Each unit has a shared external bathroom (no private bathrooms). Bunks are equipped with mattresses and covers, but sheets, pillowcases, and towels must be rented (50 SEK per set) or brought. Cabins include heating, a seating area, and a terrace with garden or quiet street views. Loft beds can be very warm and the ceiling is low, so they are less ideal for adults or tall visitors. Thin mattresses and old furnishings are typical. Detached bungalows are quieter than semi-detached units. The overall standard is simple and dated, best suited for sleeping and exploring rather than spending extended time indoors.

There is no restaurant at Stockholm Ängby Camping. A snack bar and a coffee shop on the premises offer light refreshments. For main meals, self-catering is the primary option using the cabin kitchenette or the shared service house kitchen (with microwaves, ovens, and larger stoves). A minimarket is located on site for basic groceries, and a supermarket is a short bus ride away. The beach and picnic areas provide outdoor dining space.

Wellness facilities include a free open-air bath and a free public bath. A water slide is on site (operational in summer). The property fronts a sandy lake beach with shallow, sandy entry, popular for children. A children's playground, a barbecue area, and a tennis court are provided. A water park and a golf course (within 3 km) are available for an additional charge. The adjacent nature reserve offers walking and cycling paths. The beach area is busy in July and offers a scenic setting for relaxation.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. Free private parking is on site with accessible parking and an electric vehicle charging station; no reservation needed. Pets are allowed on request at no extra charge. A minimarket sells basic supplies. Laundry services are available for an additional charge. Express check-in/check-out is offered. The shared service houses contain toilets (note: hand soap and paper towels may not always be provided) and a full kitchen. Luggage storage is possible at reception for a few hours. Staff are described as friendly and helpful.
