SUN MOON, Rome

Sun Moon sits in the real heart of Rome, a five-minute walk from Termini Station. Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum are only two metro stops away, and many attractions are within a 20-30 minute walk. The area is full of restaurants, cafés and minimarkets, with several dining options-including Italian, sushi and halal-within 300 metres of the property. At night the streets can be lively, with bars and restaurants nearby. Termini is also the main transit hub for airport trains (35 minutes to Fiumicino) and buses. Paid garages are available nearby for those arriving by car.

There is no breakfast service at Sun Moon. The reception area has a microwave and an electric kettle with tea/coffee sachets for guest convenience. The surrounding streets are packed with cafés, bakeries and restaurants-including Andrea's restaurant right outside, known for pasta and pizza at €8-9. A bakery across the road serves croissants and coffee in the morning, and several halal-friendly eateries are nearby. For self-catering, a minimarket is within walking distance, and Termini station has a well-stocked supermarket.

The property operates a 24-hour front desk with 24-hour check-in (night check-in is in the Annex building). Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Daily housekeeping includes making the bed, changing towels and replenishing soap; the cleaning lady is noted as friendly and thorough. Free luggage storage is available after checkout until about 7 pm. Laundry is offered at an additional charge. A safety deposit box and key access provide basic security. The lift is small (fits one person with luggage) and occasionally breaks down. Reception is shared with other hostels and can be difficult to find-look for a minimarket adjacent to the entry. Staff are generally helpful but may have limited English. Payment is accepted by Visa, Maestro, CartaSi, UnionPay and MasterCard.
