TABIST HOTEL NEW WASHINGTON SHIBUYA, Tokyo

The hotel sits on a quiet street within walking distance of Shibuya's main attractions, but far enough to avoid the noise. Yoyogi Park and Meiji Shrine are just across the road, and a convenience store is directly downstairs. Shibuya Station is about 1 km away, reachable on foot in 13-15 minutes, giving access to multiple train lines. Nabeshima Shoto Park and Shibuya Center Town are within 1 km, and Toguri Museum of Art is a 6-minute walk. For longer journeys, Tokyo Haneda Airport is 21 km from the property.

A range of room types is available: single, twin, triple, and family rooms. Triple rooms offer three beds or one bed plus two futons on tatami. Twin rooms may feature either two beds or two futons on tatami. Some rooms have a seating area and wardrobe. Rooms with quiet street views help reduce outside noise, though the building's older construction means thin walls and gaps under doors can allow hallway sound-rooms away from hallways are quieter. The property's age is reflected in smaller bathrooms and basic furnishing, but rooms are spacious by Tokyo standards. A flat-screen TV, refrigerator, and free toiletries are provided in all rooms.

The hotel does not offer breakfast, and there is no restaurant or bar within the property. A convenience store (Family Mart) is directly downstairs, providing drinks, snacks, and light meals. Next door to the hotel is Bellwood restaurant, which operates a partner bar/restaurant (BW Cave) offering custom drinks and food-ideal for an evening meal. Several casual dining spots are within a 1-2 minute walk, including Suikoro, Fuglen Tokyo, Nankoku Bar Ayapani, Mayu, and Uoriki. For those wanting a fuller meal, the restaurants and cafes of central Shibuya are 10-15 minutes on foot.
