The hostel sits on a busy road with frequent buses providing direct links to Chinatown, Little India, and the city centre. Outram Park MRT (green and purple lines) is about 900 metres away - a 10-12 minute walk - offering direct trains to the airport (via Tanah Merah) and Marina Bay. The surrounding area is filled with affordable Chinese restaurants, a hawker centre, and a 7-11. While the immediate streets have some ongoing construction, the neighbourhood is generally safe and walkable. Light sleepers should note that road noise from the main street can be heard in the rooms.

Breakfast is a basic continental selection - bread, butter, jam, cereal, milk, and hot beverages. The quality is modest, but it provides a quick start for early risers. The on-site bar, open late, has a menu of pub-style food and a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks; guests receive a 15% discount. For more substantial meals, the surrounding streets are lined with inexpensive Chinese eateries, a hawker centre serving local dishes, and a 7-12 for snacks. Breakfast timing is fixed, so those with early flights or tours may need to skip it.

The second-floor terrace offers outdoor seating and a foot massage machine - a welcome spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. There is no swimming pool, fitness centre, or spa. The bar and common area serve as social hubs, but there are limited quiet lounging spaces. Vending machines and a water dispenser (free drinking water) are also available on the terrace level.

The hostel provides a free water dispenser on the second floor, ironing facilities on each floor, and a lift that operates 08:00-12:00 only. A shuttle service to the airport and other points can be arranged for a fee. Laundry costs 4 SGD per wash and per dry cycle (coin-operated), though the washer has been noted to leave a musty smell. Reception is open 24 hours, but there have been occasional delays in response at night. A 50 SGD cash deposit is required on arrival for the towel and room access wristband; this is refunded at check-out. The property is non-smoking but has a designated smoking area.
