The immediate area is well served by affordable dining options, though the street can be noisy at night due to traffic and nearby restaurants. The entrance is set back from the main road, and the sign is small, so first-time visitors should plan to arrive during daylight or use a navigation app. A narrow street nearby offers free public parking.

Room options include single, twin, double, and dormitory configurations, all with shared bathroom facilities. Some rooms have windows; others are interior and windowless. Road-facing rooms (especially in the front building) can be very noisy day and night, while rooms facing the alley or in the rear building are quieter. Room size is compact: single rooms may contain only a bed, and twin rooms may consist of mattresses on the floor. Upper bunks in dorms are directly under the air conditioner and can become very cold. Some rooms have no mirror or rubbish bin. Bed frames in certain rooms are creaky, and mattresses vary in comfort. Parquet flooring is standard, and some rooms include shelves. Inter-room soundproofing is minimal, and noise from adjoining rooms or common areas can be audible.

The property does not have a restaurant or provide breakfast, but the surrounding streets offer numerous eateries. Fierce Curry House, Lisette's Cafe & Bakery, Southern Rock Seafood, and several other restaurants are all within 0.5 km. Peranakan food is available downstairs, and Little India is nearby with additional dining. Guests have access to a shared kitchen with a refrigerator and drinking water dispenser, though food is not allowed in the rooms.
