THE OLD DOCTORS OFFICE, Hamburg

The property is situated in a calm residential area, roughly 4 km from Hamburg Airport, making it convenient for travellers arriving or departing by air. The city centre is reachable within 20 minutes by public bus. Nearby services include a kebab shop (0.5 km) and several cafés within walking distance. The surroundings are peaceful, with a large playground close by and good bus links to attractions such as Volksparkstadion (8 km) and Inner Alster Lake (11 km). Free street parking is typically available right in front of the house, though finding a spot may take a moment during peak times.

Accommodation includes family rooms, triple rooms, double rooms, and twin rooms, each with garden views and access to a shared bathroom with a walk-in shower. Some rooms feature a private bathroom. Rooms are basic but spacious, and each includes a work desk, wardrobe, tea and coffee maker, seating area, and a flat-screen TV with streaming services. The shared kitchens are equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and kitchenware. Certain rooms have terraces. The property's standard twin and double rooms include a bunk bed setup, while family rooms offer up to five beds. The heating is functional but may struggle in very cold weather; the windows do not all have curtains or blinds, so light sleepers should bring an eye mask. The house is not fully soundproofed, and noise from other rooms and hallways can be heard.

The property does not operate its own restaurant or bar, but guests can prepare meals in the shared kitchens located on the ground and upper floors. Each kitchen includes a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, kitchenware, and basic utensils. A coffee machine is available in the common kitchen area. For eating out, Doner Pavillon (0.5 km) offers kebabs, and Italian or other casual dining is available at Costa Smeralda (0.5 km) and Sukredo Grando (0.5 km). A breakfast café is located nearby. The area also has Penny and Aldi supermarkets for self-catering supplies.

The property features a sun terrace, garden, outdoor furniture, and a designated picnic area, providing quiet spots for relaxation. There is no swimming pool or spa, but the garden offers space for children to play. A large public playground is within walking distance. Guests looking for more active leisure can arrange bicycle rental or join walking tours and pub crawls (additional charge). Hiking routes are available off-site.

Free WiFi is available in some rooms and in the shared lounge area. The property offers express check-in and check-out, and luggage can be stored in lockers. A shared lounge with a TV is provided, and daily housekeeping is available for an additional charge. Pets are allowed with a fee (payable on arrival). The property also provides pet baskets and bowls. Security measures include CCTV in common areas and outside, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and key access. There is no lift, and the house has an older wooden staircase. The reception desk is not staffed 24/7; contact is via phone or messaging.
