THE OTHER SERENISSIMA, Venice

Located 19 km from Venice Marco Polo Airport, the apartment sits in the Castello district - the largest sestiere, known for its authentic residential feel. The nearest vaporetto stop is Giardini (7-minute walk) or Arsenale (10 minutes), both connecting to Santa Lucia train station, the Lido beach, and the Biennale grounds. Doge's Palace is 900 metres away, Basilica San Marco 2 km, and Rialto Bridge and La Fenice Theatre are within easy walking distance. The area around Via Garibaldi offers fresh market boats, cafés, and local restaurants within a 5-minute walk, making it ideal for those seeking a genuine Venetian experience without the main tourist routes.

This air-conditioned apartment includes a living room with seating and dining area, one separate bedroom, and one bathroom with a bidet. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, coffee machine, and all cookware. Additional amenities include a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing facilities, flat-screen TV, tea and coffee maker, and parquet flooring throughout. The unit sleeps up to three guests on a double bed and a single - comfortable even during warm weather thanks to very effective air-conditioning. Canal views from the window are characteristic of the historic building, and the location on a quiet street ensures restful sleep. The interior is modern, clean, and decorated to a high standard with thoughtful labels in English for appliances.

The property includes a restaurant for convenient on-site dining. Within the surrounding streets of Castello, a cluster of well-rated eateries is within 300-500 metres: Osteria Da Valentino, Trattoria alla Rampa, and Idea Pizza are all a 3-minute walk, while Buena Onda Olinda and IL Nuovo Galeon are 5 minutes away. Bar Mio and La Tappa Bar provide quick coffee and drinks. The fully equipped kitchen also allows self-catering for those who prefer to cook, with a fresh produce market boat frequently moored near Via Garibaldi. This combination of in-house dining, local gastronomy, and kitchen autonomy suits travellers who value flexibility.

Wi-Fi is free and works reliably throughout the apartment. A paid airport shuttle can be arranged; alternatively, the Alilaguna water bus serves the Arsenale dock (10-minute walk) at €15 per person. Luggage storage before check-in or after check-out is possible by coordinating with the property administrator in advance. Business facilities include free fax/photocopying for work documents. A safety deposit box is provided free of charge. Accessibility is limited as the apartment is on the 4th floor without a lift. Cots are available if needed. The check-in host provides detailed directions and local recommendations, and communication is prompt and friendly.
