THE VARIETY BY LUXURBAN, Miami Beach

The Variety By Luxurban is situated on Alton Road, placing it within easy reach of Miami Beach's main attractions. Lincoln Road with its shops and restaurants is just 5 minutes on foot, while the beach and Ocean Drive are around a 20-minute walk. A stop for the free Miami Beach Trolley is at the doorstep, providing easy access across South Beach, and the bus to Miami International Airport stops nearby. Several supermarkets including Trader Joe's and Publix are within walking distance. The location is convenient for walkers and those using public transport, though the street can be noisy, particularly on the Alton Road side. No on-site parking is available, but paid public parking garages are a 2-minute walk away.

Rooms at this hotel are functional rather than luxurious. Standard features include air conditioning, heating, a mini fridge, and a locker-style closet. Many rooms have bunk beds, and private bathrooms are basic. Some rooms are interior-facing with no window or a window that cannot be opened, leading to a stuffy feel and persistent odours. Road-facing rooms on Alton Road can be very noisy, and rooms on the third floor are especially affected. Maintenance and cleanliness vary, with reports of furniture wear, chipped paint, and outdated fixtures. Light sleepers should request a quiet room away from the street. The rooms are suited for short, budget-conscious stays where location and price are the priorities.

The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk with express check-in and check-out, which can be convenient for late arrivals. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property and works well. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, letting you explore on arrival and departure day. A lift serves the upper floors, though it has occasionally been out of service. Housekeeping is provided daily, but the service can be inconsistent - some rooms report regular towel changes and cleaning, while others note that only beds are made and bins emptied. Cleaning requests may need to be followed up. No on-site parking, but paid public parking is available nearby. Pets are allowed with applicable charges.
