TIME TOPAZ HOTEL APARTMENT, Dubai

The hotel is situated right across from the Mall of the Emirates, placing you within a 2-minute walk to the mall's parking and a 5-10 minute walk to the metro station via the mall. The surrounding area is busy with construction, which creates noise and dust. Many restaurants and cafés are within a few hundred metres, including Texas de Brazil, Pizzaro, and several casual eateries. The metro provides direct access to Dubai Marina, Downtown, and the airport, while taxis are easily available. The location is ideal for tourists and business travellers who want to be near a major shopping and transport hub, though it is not within walking distance of the beach or the Burj Khalifa.

Accommodation consists of apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms, all featuring a separate living area and a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, cookware, and utensils. Bed sizes include king, queen, and twin configurations. While some apartments have been renovated and feel fresh, others remain dated with older furniture. Cleanliness is inconsistent: some units are well-maintained and clean, while others have been reported as dirty, smelly, or with dusty carpets and broken fixtures. Noise from traffic and surrounding construction is a frequent issue, especially in lower-floor or street-facing apartments. Windows do not block noise well. Air conditioning is effective but can be noisy. The apartments are practical for families or groups needing space and the ability to self-cater, but the variable cleanliness and dated condition in some units mean a room inspection upon check-in is advisable.

Breakfast at Time Topaz is provided at the O'Learys restaurant located next to the hotel. The breakfast is a table-service meal with a limited selection of items, such as a full cooked breakfast, and is included in some rates. A separate coffee shop attached to the hotel serves coffee, croissants, and pastries during the day. The hotel itself does not have a dedicated in-house restaurant for lunch or dinner. The adjacent O'Learys also serves a full menu for other meals, and the Mall of the Emirates, with its extensive food court and numerous restaurants, is a short walk away. The variety of dining options on-site is limited, making the mall and surrounding area the primary choice for most guests.

The wellness facilities are located on the 8th floor and include a rooftop swimming pool (not heated, closes at 19:00), a sauna, a steam room, and a compact fitness centre with basic equipment. The pool deck has limited sun loungers. The sauna is available 24 hours. Some equipment and the steam room have been reported as occasionally out of service. The pool offers a view of the surrounding area and is generally quiet, with few guests using it. These amenities add practical leisure value for a short stay but are not extensive. The Mall of the Emirates and nearby attractions provide additional entertainment options.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout, though consistency can vary. Free on-site parking is available but spaces are limited and tight, with vehicles exposed to dust from construction. A laundry service and luggage storage are available. The 24-hour reception and security team are generally helpful, with several staff members consistently praised for their service. Housekeeping is provided daily, although its thoroughness is inconsistent; some apartments receive thorough cleaning while others only get towel changes and bin emptying. Extra towels and toiletries may need to be requested. The property has wheelchair access. The lift serves all floors. Cots are available for children. The service is best suited to guests who are self-sufficient and do not require extensive concierge or on-site dining options.
