The campsite sits on the shores of Bogstadvannet Lake, offering direct beach access and scenic walking paths around the water. The Number 42 bus stops right at the gate and runs every 15 minutes, taking about 35-45 minutes to reach the city center - a practical and inexpensive alternative to driving. The nearest train station is Lysaker stasjon, about 17 minutes away by bus. For those arriving by car, free private parking is available on site, and the property is well placed for accessing Holmenkollen, Vigeland Sculpture Park (6 km), and The Royal Palace (8 km). A Kiwi supermarket and a gas station are located immediately next to the entrance, making it easy to stock up on supplies. There is no direct public transport to Oslo Winter Park; a car or a combination of bus and tram with a 1 km walk is required.

The property offers a variety of unit types to suit different budgets and group sizes. Family-sized apartments and holiday homes provide 1-3 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stovetop, refrigerator, and kitchenware, plus a terrace with garden views, tea and coffee making facilities, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. More basic bungalows have shared bathroom facilities located in a separate service building - these units are older, smaller, and more spartan. The newer Bogstad Park apartments near the front are modern, well-maintained, and include underfloor heating, air conditioning, and stylish design. Some older cabins have worn furnishings, limited storage (no closets or shelves), narrow bunk beds more suited to children than adults, and may lack a kettle. WiFi is free in rooms but can be weak or non-existent in the older cabins at the back of the site. All cabins have heating, and towels and linens are included. It is worth noting that some cabins do not have a private bathroom - check the unit specifics before booking.

The campsite features a well-maintained children's playground and a fun 12-hole mini-golf course with water features and miniature Oslo landmarks - popular with families. The surrounding area offers excellent hiking and cycling routes, particularly the scenic 6 km loop around Bogstadvannet Lake, which is also used for swimming in summer and cross-country skiing in winter. Ski-to-door access is available for winter sports enthusiasts. A golf course is located within 3 km. Fishing and cycling can be arranged off-site for an additional charge. There is no swimming pool or spa on the property.

The property does not have its own restaurant, cafe, or bar. All cabins and apartments include a kitchen with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and kitchen utensils, enabling guests to prepare their own meals. The Kiwi supermarket located immediately next to the campsite entrance is open until 23:00 and stocks a full range of groceries, making self-catering straightforward. For those who prefer dining out, the city center (10 km away) offers numerous restaurants and cafes, easily reached by bus. There is a shared kitchen facility on site for tent campers, but it is basic with limited equipment.

The campsite provides free WiFi in rooms, though connectivity can be unreliable in older cabins and at the rear of the property. Free private parking is available on site without reservation, including accessible spaces and electric vehicle charging stations. The site has 24-hour security with CCTV, key card and key access, fire extinguishers, and smoke alarms. Accessibility features include wheelchair-accessible paths and facilities. A tour desk and express check-in/check-out are available. Laundry service costs an additional 40 NOK. Pets are allowed on request with a 225 NOK fee. A shared kitchen, minimarket, and outdoor furniture (picnic area, terrace, outdoor fireplace) are provided. There is no luggage storage service. Some service buildings (especially the older ones at the back of the site) have been reported as poorly maintained with cleanliness issues; using the main service block near the entrance is recommended for better conditions.
