TRU BY HILTON WICHITA NORTHEAST, Wichita

The hotel is 24 km from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport and within easy reach of local attractions: All Star Adventures (3 km), Wichita State University (10 km), and Century II Convention Center (16 km). Numerous dining options are within a 5-minute walk, including Jose Peppers, Freddy's Frozen Custard, and Sumo by Nambara. The surrounding area is safe and well-lit, with easy parking and good access for those driving. The location is especially popular for sports tournament stays, with several venues nearby.

Rooms feature air conditioning, heating, a TV, work desk, telephone, ironing facilities, and free toiletries. The double room has one bed, while the quadruple room offers two beds. Bathrooms are spacious with wall-mounted toiletries and good shower pressure, though some units may have calcified shower heads. Rooms are clean and come with black-out curtains, but storage is minimal - there are no closets, microwaves, or in-room safes. The minimalist design means compact layouts: double rooms with a king bed leave little space to move around. Pillows are very soft, and mattress firmness varies; some find it comfortable, others very hard. Noise transmission between rooms can occur. For better sleep, requesting a room away from the elevator and with a quiet air conditioning unit is recommended.

Breakfast is included in the stay and available weekdays from 6:00-9:00 AM and weekends from 7:00-10:00 AM. The offering typically includes scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, bread, peanut butter, cream cheese, yogurt (with a machine), juice, and coffee with oat milk. While generally well-stocked, the selection can be limited and the pancake machine may require staff assistance. There is no restaurant or bar on-site, but several dining options - including Jose Peppers, Freddy's Frozen Custard, and Sumo by Nambara - are within a 5-minute walk.

The 24-hour fitness centre includes a Peloton bike (compatible with clip-in shoes) and other equipment. The lobby area features a games room with billiards, a pool table, board games, and a shared lounge/TV area. An outdoor fireplace and furniture provide a space to relax. There is no swimming pool or spa on-site, which is a factor for those seeking those amenities.

Services include a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/out, and free luggage storage. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, and free on-site parking (no reservation needed) includes accessible spots and an electric vehicle charging station. A minimarket is located on-site for snacks and essentials. The hotel is fully accessible with a lift, wheelchair-accessible bathrooms, grab rails, and tactile/braille signage. Pets are welcome (dogs under 16 kg; fees apply). Business facilities include a business centre and fax/photocopying. Laundry services are available for an additional charge. Safety features include key card access, smoke alarms, and a safety deposit box.
