ANGELES INN, Venice

The inn occupies a historic building on a quiet side street in the Cannaregio district, away from the main tourist crowds yet within easy walking distance of major landmarks. Venezia Santa Lucia station is under 1 km away-about a 10-12 minute walk-saving the cost of a water taxi for standard arrivals. The Rialto Bridge is just 1 km, and Piazza San Marco is roughly 25 minutes on foot. Nearby vaporetto water-bus stops (S. Marcuola) connect directly to other islands and the northern lagoon. Restaurants, cafés, and bars are within a block, and a supermarket is right next door. No parking is available; arriving by train or water bus is recommended. Marco Polo Airport is 13 km away, reachable via a combination of the ATVO bus to Piazzale Roma and a short walk.

Rooms feature air conditioning, hypoallergenic bedding, free toiletries, a desk, wardrobe, and some include a bidet. Canal-view rooms offer a private balcony and a romantic atmosphere; other rooms have windows overlooking the courtyard or the quiet street. Rooms are decorated in a vintage Venetian style and are cleaned daily. The double rooms with private bathroom are spacious enough to open large suitcases. Some rooms have shared bathrooms but are also very clean. The property is on upper floors with no lift-guests should expect to climb several long stairways. Road-facing rooms are quiet, but those who are sensitive to stair climbing may prefer a room on a lower floor. Room choices include the Canal View room (with private balcony) and the Classic room.

Breakfast is available for €5 per person (payable on arrival) and includes a continental or Italian spread with fresh pastries, juice, pancakes, and fruits. It must be booked the day before, with a preferred time slot between 08:00 and 10:00. The meal is served on a communal top terrace with views of the Venetian rooftops-a quiet escape from the streets below. The property does not have an on-site restaurant or bar, but the surrounding Cannaregio neighbourhood offers numerous dining choices within a few minutes' walk, including pizzerias, Italian restaurants, and a supermarket directly next door. Lunch and dinner are best planned outside the property.

WiFi is free throughout the property. Daily housekeeping is included and keeps rooms clean. Express check-in and check-out are offered; key codes are used for secure building and room access. Luggage storage is free on arrival before 14:00 and on departure until 15:00, useful for exploring before check-in or after check-out. The host team (typically Valentina via WhatsApp and Fabio on-site) provides clear pre-arrival instructions, directions, and local recommendations. Late check-in after 21:00 is possible for a €20 supplement. No parking is available-cars must be left at Piazzale Roma or Mestre. Pets are not allowed. Guest IDs are requested at check-in. The building uses multiple keys (garden gate, building, inner door, room) for security.
